Economic Commisson on Latin America and the Carribean

(Advanced Tournamnent of Champions Committee)

About the committee

We can keep telling ourselves that money is not all that there is to life, but for some financial support is essential to the survival of many.

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is a regional commission established in 1948. Their goal is to improve the quality of living for people in these countries. To achieve their goal, they focus on research in the economy, as well as environmental and social development, and provide technical cooperation and assistance in response to needs identified by governments.

As a delegate, it is important to keep in mind that during this committee, you will need to address the many issues affecting Indigenous people in these countries and work toward possible solutions to improve their well-being. You will also need to find solutions to grow economic trade among these countries and strengthen the bond they should have with their Indigenous people to cultivate a better local economy.
