Welcome to W.I.C.K.E.D, the World In Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department, an organization created in the Maze Runner series to combat the disease called The Flare. This global epidemic, also known as Virus VC321xb47, was originally designed to safely kill off 30% of the human population as a last-ditch effort in the face of a severe lack of resources caused by extreme climate change. Nowadays, the virus’s many mutations have made it so it can no longer be controlled. W.I.C.K.E.D. is the world’s only chance to find a cure.

 

As a delegate and a representative of W.I.C.K.E.D., you have a crucial mission: to ensure the success of the organization’s experimental trials while maintaining influence and authority throughout this global epidemic. You must defend W.I.C.K.E.D. from rebel organizations that are starting to rise in its opposition and prevent any interference with the Maze Trials: the first step to ensure the discovery of a cure for the disease that threatens humanity.
